External Blinds for a Modern Home Refurbishment

A building company carrying out a full refurbishment of a large property in Abergavenny asked us to install external blinds for the bedrooms. The aim was to keep the rooms cool during summer without relying on air conditioning.

We worked closely with the client, architect, and contractor to design a system that combined style with smart control. Five blinds were installed and integrated into the property’s new electrical supply through the loft space, keeping the exterior free from visible cabling. Each blind is controlled through an app-based system, giving the homeowner the flexibility to set individual scenarios depending on the shade required.

The blinds were finished with anthracite grey frames and grey twilight fabric, reducing heat from solar gain while still allowing outward visibility. This solution improves comfort, lowers the need for cooling systems, and complements the modern design of the home.
