Replacing an old awning - like father, like son!

This project held special meaning for Greenspace Living’s owner, David. Almost two decades ago, David’s father fitted the original awning for this customer. When the time came for a replacement, the customer reached out once again, only to be introduced to David, who has proudly continued the family tradition of providing high-quality external shading solutions.

The existing manually operated awning had given an impressive nineteen years of reliable service. Over time, it became more difficult to operate and the fabric had begun to show signs of age. To replace it, we installed a slightly larger 3.5m wide x 3m projection Anguilla manually operated full cassette awning. The customer chose a vibrant yellow fabric with white hardware, creating a bright, fresh look that complements the property and garden beautifully.

This new awning not only adds visual appeal but also offers smooth operation with a single manual crank arm. The full cassette design ensures the fabric and mechanisms are fully protected when closed, giving the awning the best chance of lasting for another nineteen years and beyond with the right care and maintenance.
